Iowa Soybean Association announces new membership structure
The Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) has announced exciting changes in its membership structure. ISA membership is now available at no additional cost to any farmer who pays into the checkoff.
"We believe, by paying the soybean checkoff, Iowa soybean growers have earned the right to be members," ISA President Delbert Christensen says. "ISA has always been focused on doing the right things to serve soybean growers. Our goal is to customize our services to better serve soybean growers and expand the number of producers who are engaged with our organization."
Among other benefits, ISA members have access to up-to-date news of interest to the soybean industry through a weekly electronic eGold newsletter or a monthly printed Gold Standard. Other options include a free subscription to the Agri-Pulse, offering insight into the issues and impacts of agriculture; the China Market Report, with quick updates on the United States' largest soybean customer; and South American News Briefs, a bulletin from Brazil and Argentina, including weekly updates during the season, directly from Brazilian farmers.
To join the ranks of membership, soybean growers must sign up so they can indicate the information they want to receive. There are a couple easy ways to do so. By setting up a user name and password at the membership link on www.iasoybeans.com <http://www.iasoybeans.com/> , they can select the membership benefits they choose to receive and later be able to log in and change their selections at anytime. Soybean growers without internet access can enroll by calling 800-383-1423.
